Many of the teams at the 81 shops in the state have been sewing up quilts, bags, aprons and table runners.  The fabric is working so well with the Kona solids and marbles and has many terrific options.

The “Mail Person” doesn’t understand my enthusiasm!

Everyday when she arrives, I quickly sort through the junk mail and the bills to go straight to the envelopes with the critical information…new participants for the All Iowa Shop Hop 2012!!  As of this morning we are 70 strong.  I’m so excited and I won’t even be able to go!!  I’ll be here at my shop greeting the hoppers! I’ll be plenty excited to open my door every morning, June 1 to June 14.  Not that I haven’t been excited to open my door every day for the past 30 years, but this will certainly bring a new level of excitement!!  We love our customers, but won’t it be fun to meet even more quilters?

More than 50 shops, so far!!

     Over 50 shops have committed so far to the All Iowa Shop Hop, June 1-14.  We are going to have tons of fun!!  Check here often for more updates.  Don’t you LOVE this Iowa sky.  That’s what it will look like this summer AFTER we finish the next six weeks of winter.  I like winter so much, you can get so much quilting done when you are forced to stay home in your sewing room.  Mine is a sewing room this week.  When it’s clean and organized it’s a STUDIO!!  I need winter.  Bring it on.

We (the Quilt Shop Owners of Iowa) are so excited to announce the FIRST All Iowa Shop Hop!!  The dates are June 1 through June 14.  So mark those calendars and plan on shopping the state for your summer vacation.  Won’t that be fun?  We’ll have more details as they become available, but we sure didn’t want you to plan an out of state trip during the first two weeks of June.  Just stay right here with us!!
